CONSTRUCTION:

Energy absorber length without karabiner (loop/Loop) = 21 cm on both sides with synthetic thimbles optional:

• One-hand karabiner (AHK) / triple-lock karabiner (TRLK)
• One-hand karabiner (AHK) / loop (incl. thimble)
• Both ends with a loop (incl. thimble)
• AHK pivoting / loop (incl. thimble)
• AHK pivoting / triple-lock karabiner (TRLK)
   

Extension: Extension: strap energy absorbers can be extended to max. 2 m with lanyards. = Fall arrest system (see lanyards)

FUNCTION:

With fall arrest systems acc. EN363 the use of energy absorbers is prescribed. They are integrated in the system between the anchor point and the person to be secured - best directly on the full body harness. In case of a fall the fall shock is reduced when the tape "tears open". This reduces the strain for the person and the anchorage (anchor point) signigicantly. During use take care of the possible extension of the energy absorber in case of a fall: energy absorber length + tear open length = max. possible total length!
